How to sell your self
The main points during prospecting
1. When we are asking the 4 questions formula, remember that our objective is not how much you know. Our objective is how much we care for others. So we need to have a pleasing personality.
2. The best way to attract a prospect is by a smile .(Human beings are the only creatures who can smile). So use this tool very often.
3. Try to understand more about the person. The best way is to ask questions. When asking questions, be humble enough. Start a question
“If you don’t mind can I ask you a question?”
“Shall I know more about you?”
“Can you please elaborate?”
“Can you please explain better?”
“If you don’t mind can I know more about you/your job/family/goals?”
4. What you see is what you get.
If you see the prospect cunning/clever/not interested/egoistic/dominant, you will get the same. It is easy to blame others. But the right way is to analyze how can I influence him. Try to analyze how could you have been improved your prospecting skills.
5. Never argue/debate.
If the prospect objects you, just say
“I understand, you are right, but….......” and explain.
This way you never hurt the feelings of your prospect. But normally we try to object even before the prospect finishes his statement, which is wrong. And never start a statement with “No……..”.
6. Always use eye contact and mirroring like using his tone of language, frequency of words, his posture etc.
People, don’t buy the product, people buy you. It is how you sell yourself.
